TPP
Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) as quoted in Wikipedia
"Let’s be clear: the TPP is much more than a “free trade” agreement. It is part of a global race to the bottom to boost the profits of large corporations and Wall Street by outsourcing jobs; undercutting worker rights; dismantling labor, environmental, health, food safety and financial laws; and allowing corporations to challenge our laws in international tribunals rather than our own court system. If TPP was such a good deal for America, the administration should have the courage to show the American people exactly what is in this deal, instead of keeping the content of the TPP a secret."
Senator (I-VT) Bernie Sanders as quoted in Wikipedia
"In June 2015, Senator (R-KY) Rand Paul opposed fast-tracking the TPP bill on the basis of secrecy. Paul explained that fast-tracking the secret trade partnership would "give the permission to do something you haven’t seen", which he likened to "[putting] the cart before the horse."

2015 Vacation - Day 13
It was already mid afternoon when we finished with our lunch, so we decided to go back home and start packing for the trip back. Davor was going to come by to help us to the bus station and to say goodbye.

Television II
But when television is bad, nothing is worse. I invite each of you to sit down in front of your own television set when your station goes on the air and stay there, for a day, without a book, without a magazine, without a newspaper, without a profit and loss sheet or a rating book to distract you. Keep your eyes glued to that set until the station signs off. I can assure you that what you will observe is a vast wasteland.
You will see a procession of game shows, formula comedies about totally unbelievable families, blood and thunder, mayhem, violence, sadism, murder, western bad men, western good men, private eyes, gangsters, more violence, and cartoons. And endlessly commercials — many screaming, cajoling, and offending. And most of all, boredom. True, you'll see a few things you will enjoy. But they will be very, very few. And if you think I exaggerate, I only ask you to try it."
- FCC chairman Newton N. Minow in his speech at the convention of National Association of Broadcasters 05/09/1961
p.s.: I could not believe my eyes: only 3 weeks after I posted an article on American television I found out that even an FCC chairman agreed with me, some 54 years ago. If someone in such a position did not or could not do anything to improve it, I think it's safe to say the subject is doomed.

Television
I can't speak for the rest of the world but most of American television programing (excluding PBS and some sports channels) is nothing else but the Cheap entertainment for the simple minds.

Simple logic
If there is 'after-life' then there has to be 'before-life'.
I do not remember any details of my before-life.
Therefore I do not think I will witness any after-life.

Marketing
That's direct marketing.
2. Your friend goes to a girl, points at you and says: "He is very rich, marry him."
That's advertising.
3. Girl walks up to you and says: "You are rich, will you marry me?"
That's brand recognition.
4. You say: "I'm rich, marry me." and she slaps you.
That's customer feedback.
5. You say: "I'm rich, marry me." and she introduces you to her husband.
That's demand and supply gap.
6. Before anybody says anything your wife arrives.
That's restriction from entering new market.

Our sins
If the maker made us with all the faults and sins we possess and exhibit, why is he forbidding us from and punishing us for committing those same sins?
